Recording Areas

Main Studio

The main recording area is extremely large and has windows along its full length. With its wonderful acoustics, its unique sound can be recognised on hundreds of recordings going back over many years. The beautiful natural wood floor, together with moveable carpets, detachable wall and ceiling panels and full and half-sized screens, provide many different acoustic options.

There are two isolation booths in opposite corners of the room, as well as a larger third booth, big enough to accommodate a complete drum kit or concert grand piano. Each has full-height glass doors, allowing line-of-sight for everyone.

Slate Studio

A high, wood-lined, day-lit recording area with extensive acoustic panelling and a slate floor, again with optional carpeting, which provides a lovely alternative acoustic to the main room.
